A Noobs Path to Mate
Hey everyone,
Im Jay, im 44 years old and live in the United States. North East Pennsylvania to be exact. Throughout my life I learned the rules to chess and played a game every now and then to keep those rules fresh, but never taken the game serious. My life has been a rollercoaster. Full of a lot of upset, heart ache and pain and very few actual good things. Everything ranging from addiction to the death of family and friends or 3 tours in the iraq war. I tell you this rough outline so you know a bit of my background. The best things from my life are me kids. Whom i love more than anything and would do anything for.
Moving along, recently a client of mine played chess on chess.com so i decided to DL the app and play a few games. Well i began to notice all i want to do is play. Im in the shower.... thinking of chess... eating....... chess. I see so many people who are so passionate about the game and slowly see chess becoming a big part of my life. I am a complete noob. Besides knowing the rules and some board locations, i haven started o study strategy yet. I just thought it would be cool to begin a "journal" of sort to track progress. To watch someone go from point A to........ Where ever i end up. I hope to become passionate enough one day to play in tournaments. And if by any chance i become good at it, it would be cool for other noobs to see a person at their level, start exactly where they are, to watch someone like themselves, a ordinary persons journey through the ranks. So.... here we go.................... Enjoy.
