MY PATH TO FM: DAY 2

"Objectivity is the most important quality for a chess player." — Alexander Alekhine

Hello everyone again, I hope you’re all doing well. Following the launch of this blog yesterday, today marks my first day of actual training according to my routine. To be honest, it didn’t go as well as I would have liked, but I believe it’s important to reflect and try to correct the mistakes we make in our day-to-day activities.
To start, regarding tactics, I only managed to complete 4 puzzles over the course of 50 minutes, though, in truth, I don’t think that’s entirely bad. Still, I’m quite slow and currently out of form; I hope to improve as the days go by. As for strategy, I didn’t conduct any formal study, so I can’t share a specific strategic position with you; I spent my time organizing my games in my database to prepare for upcoming analysis sessions. My work on endgames wasn’t very productive either—it took me quite a while just to decide which resource to start with; but I expect to be much more efficient next time. Finally, regarding openings, I’m building a new, solid repertoire against 1.d4 based on the Bogo-Indian and Nimzo-Indian defenses, so, in that area, I’ve actually made some good progress. Since I know this blog can be a bit dull, I’ll share some of the most interesting positions I’ve come across while developing my repertoire.
Good luck to everyone with your goals—see you next time! P.S. I forgot to mention on the first day that I’m open to feedback, suggestions, or criticism; I’d love to hear your thoughts on how I’m handling this goal.
