Endgames in Lichess puzzles

@miscmint Thanks for the blog. Interesting Information.

If this move e.g. takes our last rook and there are only pawns and kings left after this move it's a pawn endgame puzzle

Yes, but does it also take account for situations where the opponent's side allows or enforces to transpose into a pawn endgame?

Hi @Cedur216,
thank you for your comment.
It doesn't take into account the case you wrote about. One reason for that is that it would have been more difficult for me to do so. Another reason is that I don't know where to stop. If we first exchange our 4 rooks and after that there are only pawns left, would that be a pawn endgame too?
I don't think that it would change the results too much if I would take into account your suggestion.
To support that claim I made a chart of all puzzles that have only rooks and pawns but don't have the category "rookEndgame" in the field "themes". We can assume that they are the rook endgames that will convert to pawn endgames in the next move. As you can see, adding these puzzles to pawn endgame puzzles would add more percentage points to difficult puzzles than to easy puzzles. I assume that it would be the same with the other cases too.
