Been on Gameknot many many many years. Another great feature is the birthday email they send out. And the “we miss you” when you haven’t played for a while - the tournaments are brilliant and the email reminder about them is also very good. Can’t say I’ve ever had the opponents not chatting experience you have had. I frequently chat to guys from America as well as other parts of the world.
The site itself hasn’t changed in, I’d guess twenty years or so haha but it does the job and was the first site I started playing chess on.
Always has a seat at my table!
