Doesn't this allow an Accelerated Dragon mainline?

    1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 g6 3. e4
    1. e4 1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 g6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nc6 5. e4

Seems like you'd have to adjust it to this.

    1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6

Not sure how that would change the other lines.

The reputation of this opening as very drawish mostly comes from the lines I will avoid with this repertoire, (1.c4 c5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Nc3 d5 3.cxd5 Nxd5 5.d4 for example) of course at a cost—allowing the Marczy-Bind. I will not cover it here, as I'd like to dedicate an entire post to it, going really in-depth.

Starting with Nc6 doesn't stop White from getting either the Main line English, or the Maróczy-Bind:

  1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4
    4...g6 5.e4
    4...Nf6 5.g3
On top of that White has another option of
  2. c4 c5 2. Nf3 Nc6 3. Nc3
    Where 3...g6 runs into e3!

I play the English as one of my serious main openings, with Nf3+b3 and d4+Nd2 being some other serious weapons I use. While the advertised tips are very good, I play lines with b3 and also playing d4 eventually, or playing d4 immediately and supporting the knight on d4 with e3 and then playing Qb3 to prevent d5 from happening. In those lines, I don't fianchetto my bishop, and I've had quite good results with it.

How do you avoid Black from achieving d5-e5?

Or playing d4 immediately and supporting the knight on d4 with e3 and then playing Qb3 to prevent d5 from happening.

This is pretty interesting, without the knight on f3 White has another option of supporting d5 with Bf3, so going for Nxd4-d5 doesn't work out, but 1. c4 c5 2. Nf3 g6 3. d4 cxd4 4. Nxd4 Nc6 5. Nc3 Bg7 6. e3 Nf6 7. Qb3 O-O 8. Be2 b6 9. O-O Bb7 10. Rd1 Nxd4 11. exd4 d5 seems fine, Black just prepares d5

Well, that's actually a main line you just pointed out there. We don't completely prevent black from playing d5, but instead we force them to wait before they can. Stockfish says it's a draw, but I like a good positional fight.
