Just saw this post and thought I'd share one I made a while ago :)

It's pretty long and I never finished writing out the moves in the study, so you're left to solve it on your own.
If anyone actually tries it and wants the solution, I might complete the study.

For Ch2, after Bd8, doesn't white have other moves? for example simply g4

Yes, white has other moves and will try to avoid capturing the queen.
It's up to you to find out what to do against the different options they have :)
I do think g4 is the most challenging response by the way.
(as I said, I didn't finish writing the chapters. Only wrote the first 2 moves but that doesn't mean the puzzle ends there. I understand if that's confusing)

Any engines to analyze selfmates? I've found popeye on https://www.yacpdb.org/.
Have you found anything else?

Yes, white...
Your selfmate looks very promising; you should finish it.
There is just one convention in the selfmate genre (and in direct mates): You play White, and in a selfmate, it is the white king that must be checkmated. So a selfmate in 2 would be: 1.White plays - Black plays 2.White plays - Black gives mate to the white King
Your selfmate then would look like that (if i have nothing missed):
n7/N1p5/1pP5/2pp1p1Q/1R1pbp2/1P1k4/1p1B1b2/1N1K4 w - - 0 1

popeye handles short selfmates, but the engine of choice is Gustav
