This topic will get closed by a mod quite quickly.
I assume you are saying that because I was “spamming” random remarks in this thread but that was’t what I meant to do. They were polls, where you respond with emojis to the statements on how much you agree/ disagree with them. I thought it would be quite fun and interesting. I gave a few ...
nno I don't think you are spamming, it is a good topic, but I am pretty sure this will get closed quickly.
very creative thread
This is a question I've heard many times (maybe u have too)...
Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a green or red button. If more than 50% of people press the red button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the red button, only people who pressed the green button survive
Would u agree that pressing the green button is better?
(also pls post ur own polls in this, )
This will NOT get closed quickly.

We have mid-term elections tomorrow. When I step into the voting booth, I hope that I'm not confronted with red and green buttons...

What happens if someone is color blind? They pick a button, it is a red button while the rest of the world pressed green. That would be so sad. :_(
Better yet, You get a red and green button. If 100% of the world population picks green, everyone lives. If 0.1% of the world population picks red, everyone dies. Dislike if you think everyone would die in this situation. And if it changes your vote or not, THE BUTTON YOU PRESS IS NOT PRIVATE. EVERYONE WILL KNOW WHO PRESSES RED.
I think its a fun new idea, but it pains me that thumbs down means good...
I also think a few players are confused, based on the number of thumbs up and thumbs down. :)
The thread illustrates a novel and wonderful, apparently new, idea, and is nearly perfect; but I, too, think that a thumbs up should not be a "disagree."
I suggest, instead, the following conventions for poll-taking:
Strongly disagree: thumbs down (imagine yourself a Roman emperor in the Coliseum)
Mostly disagree: scornful laugh (imagine yourself saying, "oh, I don't THINK so, Bubba" -- but knowing you just might be wrong).
Slightly disagree: horsey (imagine yourself thinking about just possibly saying neigh. I mean nay).
Not sure: the "thinking" emoji (imagine yourself doing something too few seem to do dependably).
Sounds good: the thumbs up (imagine your friend showing you his new Tesla without marks from spray paint).
Yes, yes, yes, yes: the heart symbol (imagine yourself joyfully screaming aloud with happiness, and on a weekday, too!)
I realize this scheme is not evaluatively symmetric, but these days disagreement seems slightly more common than agreement or even an objective neutrality. So, the asymmetry seems appropriate.

As an after thought:
"Everyone on earth takes a private vote by pressing a green or red button. If more than 50% of people press the red button, everyone survives. If less than 50% of people press the red button, only people who pressed the green button survive"
Sounds like the midterms, if "red" signifies "Republican." Republicans don't wish to cancel others - they just hope to save us all.
